90 minutes to K.O.: For all the many, many shortcomings of SGWPL as a league… there will never be another time like this: where players can watch other teams play in-person before their own game; where friends can take photos with friends from the other side right after the match; where fans can take selfies with players and ask: “CaN I HaVe YoUr AuToGrApH? 🤩”

The league will continue to develop professionally over time — raising both standards and barriers. Things will be a bit more “corporate” and a bit less “kampung”. It will be a more exciting time for some as a pathway to greater things but a put-off for others who just wanna play some football.

All I’m trying to say is: Enjoy the ride, however bumpy and uneven. Walk along this way again, we shall not.

Two hours to K.O.: All beginnings must have an end. All campaigns must have a champion. One last time for 2024. Let’s GOOOAL!!!
