SGPWT No.11 Putri Syaliza beats a MACWT defender in a 1v1 on the right side of the MACWT penalty box. She enters the box with the ball, looks up at the goal and fires a shot. The ball looks like it took a deflection off a MACWT defender on its way in but the goal is awarded to Putri. Well played!

K.O.: SGPWT 0-0 MACWT
10 mins to K.O.: The LIVE broadcast via YouTube is up and running.
A good-sized crowd is present at the Jalan Besar Stadium to cheer the Lionesses on.
3 hours to K.O.: Is Macau a country? How come England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each have a qualifying slot in major football tournaments? Can the World (Country) Cup compete against a proper World Club Cup?
Maybe one day, we will get to explore these questions in detail. In the meantime, it’s three hours to goooal time!
7 hours to K.O.: “Trust the process, trust the coach and trust the team,” said Lionesses captain Rosnani in the pre-match press conference.
To paraphrase a SGWPL coach: What happens on the training ground during the week determines what happens on match day.
The SGPWT had two full weeks of training and should be (relatively) well prepared to face MACWT.
16 hours to K.O.: It’s going to be a goal-fest (or I’ll ask for my money back) — Macau WT lost their last three international matches 16-0, 6-0 and 4-0 to Chinese Taipei, Guam and Northern Mariana Islands in Nov/Dec 2023.
The Lionesses will enjoy all the advantages (and pressure) of playing on home soil, so here’s to a wonderful evening of football!
