86’: They believed. A wonderful team effort by Young Lions was richly rewarded late in the game against Albirex when the score was tied at 2-2.
Itsuki Enomoto started the play from the halfway line on the left. He plays a ball forward for Farhan Zulkiflii to collect and dribble towards the Albirex box. Farhan passes the ball back to Enomoto who has moved to centre left of the pitch just outside the penalty area. Enomoto holds up the ball while he waits for Farhan to run in along the edge of the box towards the centre. Enomoto then releases a short pass back to Farhan who gets a touch.
The final move, ironically, comes from Albirex captain Ho Wai Loon, who rushes back to defend but inadvertently kicks the ball away into the path of substitute Andrew Aw.
Andrew does not waste the opportunity and smashes the ball into the Albirex goal to seal the comeback of the season. 3-2 to Young Lions!
